Looking Forward Privacy Policy

Overview

Looking Forward is designed to help you see and pin upcoming calendar events as countdowns. This policy explains what information the app uses and how that information is handled.

Calendar Access

If you choose Apple Calendar or Google Calendar, the app requests access only so it can show your upcoming events inside Looking Forward. Calendar event details may include titles, dates, times, locations, and recurrence information.

Your calendar information is used solely to create countdowns, organize upcoming events, support pinned events, and power related app features such as widgets. Calendar data is never transmitted to any server, never shared with any third party, and never leaves your device.

Data Storage

Looking Forward stores app settings and event information needed for the app experience locally on your device only. This can include selected calendar provider, pinned events, display preferences, and recent sync information. No data is stored on external servers. If you delete the app, all locally stored data is permanently removed from your device.

Google Calendar

If you connect Google Calendar, Looking Forward requests read-only access to your Google Calendar events using the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly scope. The app does not request write access and cannot create, modify, or delete your calendar events.

Google authentication is used solely to read the calendar events you authorize. That data is displayed inside the app on your device and is never sent to Looking Forward's servers or any third party. You can revoke Google access at any time through your Google Account settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Looking Forward's use of Google Calendar data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Apple Calendar

If you use Apple Calendar, access is handled through iOS permissions. The app requests read-only access to your calendar events. You can change or revoke calendar access at any time in the Settings app on your device.

Sharing

Looking Forward does not sell, share, or transfer your personal information or calendar data to any third party for any purpose, including advertising, analytics, or data brokering. The app contains no third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or crash reporting tools that would transmit your data externally.
